Final Japanese Club Meeting

Tuesday, June 2 was the final meeting for the 1998-99 Japanese Club. Usually, meetings run until 4:00, but this one ran until a little after 5:00. The meeting started with Holly Turner talking about applications for next year's 9th graders who want to host a Japanese student in October. After she was done, we made little origami cranes, and put them on bookmarks. Then, we ate some of the Japanese Food Mrs. Edwards had brought, along with some green tea, and talked with our friends. While we were eating, Mr. Edwards was busy cooking up Top Ramen for us to eat. When we finished our snacks, we ate the Ramen with chopsticks. Then, the ten students who traveled to Japan, had the opportunity to share everything that they had gotten in Japan with everyone else in the club. Mrs. Edwards handed out small gifts to all the club members, and the final meeting of the Japanese Club came to a close.
