The plane ride was long, and when we arived in Japan and were walking in the warm breeze to the bus I was glad to be on land. The airport was a different experience. I wanted to take so many pictures, but when Allison took a picture and this guy from security came running over and started yelling, "NO PICTURES, NO PICTURES," I decided not to take any pictures.
Tokyo was fun. There was enough English words every where to where you didn't have to have your "Japanese Language" guide book. The temples were so pretty. I wish I had, had ten rolls of film for every place we went. We stayed at the Takanawa Prince Hotel which used to be owned by the Imperial Family. I think that may be a reason why everything was so nice outside, I mean they had this pond outside the hotel that had these huge Koi in it, and they would just swim over and jump up trying to get food from us.
I really enjoyed the subways and the bullet trains. It was such a good experiance. When we got off the last bullet train on the way to Mutsu City there was a welcoming crowd for us and it was so neat. It made us all feel really special. When we arrived in Mutsu City it was so fun seeing all the new faces and the old faces that we had missed so much for five months.
I really loved the family that I stayed with. They were so nice and understanding.
