JESSICA'S TRIP EXPERIENCE
I had so much fun in Japan. To think that I actually went to a different country over seas still seems like a dream. Only one thing is actually making this whole trip beleavable and that is the stamp in my passport.

The plane ride was long, and when we arived in Japan and were walking in the warm breeze to the bus I was glad to be on land. The airport was a different experience. I wanted to take so many pictures, but when Allison took a picture and this guy from security came running over and started yelling, "NO PICTURES, NO PICTURES," I decided not to take any pictures.

Tokyo was fun. There was enough English words every where to where you didn't have to have your "Japanese Language" guide book. The temples were so pretty. I wish I had, had ten rolls of film for every place we went. We stayed at the Takanawa Prince Hotel which used to be owned by the Imperial Family. I think that may be a reason why everything was so nice outside, I mean they had this pond outside the hotel that had these huge Koi in it, and they would just swim over and jump up trying to get food from us.

I really enjoyed the subways and the bullet trains. It was such a good experiance. When we got off the last bullet train on the way to Mutsu City there was a welcoming crowd for us and it was so neat. It made us all feel really special. When we arrived in Mutsu City it was so fun seeing all the new faces and the old faces that we had missed so much for five months.

I really loved the family that I stayed with. They were so nice and understanding.

One night they took me up to this mountain called Mt. Kamafusea. It had this really, really beautiful night view and was nicknamed Mt. Choto, because the view of Mutsu City looked like a butterfly if you looked sideways (Choto means butterfly in Japanese).

My family took me to a hair salon (I didn't know what was happening) and had my hair put up in this really cool bun thing. Then they took me to this photographing place and dressed me in a Kimono and took pictures of me. It was really fun.

The farewell dinner was sad, I cried really hard. Goodbyes are so hard especially when you just met the person. I just want to thank my family for not only being my friends but like a second family. This trip was so fun I just wish it had been longer.
