I have just experienced something most people my age and older will never experience. I went to Japan. It was incredible! I made so many friends and saw many things I could never imagine.

The night before I got no sleep. I was all packed and ready to go. When the time came to get into the car, I couldn't believe it. When we got to the airport it was one of the funnest parts to see all of us as a group. Boarding the plane was kind of sad because we were all leaving our family members behind. The plane ride was long and tiresome, but I never fell asleep. Getting off the plane and on Japanese ground was my favorite part. I know I will never forget that feeling. Afterwards we rode on a bus from the airport in Narita to our hotel in Tokyo. The hotel was very nice. It had robes and slippers for us to wear, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and it had green tea for us to drink. That evening we went out and toured Tokyo. It was a long day and we were all very exhausted. By the time we went to bed we had been awake for over 24 hours.

We slept for about 4 hours until we had to get up and get ready to go to the worlds largest fish market in Tokyo. We rode a few subways and walked a few blocks to get there. The first thing we saw were huge fish, larger than me, lying on the ground in front of us. There were also hundreds of people. around selling, buying, and surveying the fish. We then started touring the market. We went through endless rows of eels, fish, shellfish, squid, starfish, and many thing we could never imagine or never knew even existed. It was kind of scary because little carlike vehicles were driving around everywhere and they wouldn't stop for you if you were in the way. Afterwards we went back to the hotel for breakfast and freetime. I enjoyed that. Some of the students took naps during freetime. I went out and toured the outside of the hotel. We saw huge goldfish the size of my arm and many old Japanese buildings. After freetime we met in the lobby and headed out to the shrine. We went inside a huge Buddhist temple. It was beautiful. We then went shopping at a place where they had rows and rows of small shops where you can buy all types of Japanese niknaks. That is where I bought most of my families gifts. Then we took a brake from shopping and went to a ramen shop for lunch. I wasn't hungry, but Mr. Edwards made me eat. We went shopping again because we all really enjoyed it.Then we took a few subways back to the hotel. All of us just hung out and looked at the things we bought. We also watched television. I liked the sumo wrestling. That evening we went to a collage town to eat dinner. I wasn't feeling good so I didn't eat anything. After we got back it was late so we all went to bed.

The next day we got up early and went to the lobby. We left the hotel and went to the subway station. We took a few subways to the bullet train and headed on. We were on the train for about 5 hours. It was a fun ride. When we got off the city officials of Mutsu greeted us. We got onto another bus and rode for about an hour. That was my favorite ride. Mr. Ara was so funny and the scenery was really neat. When we arrived at Mutsu it was really neat. All the people were outside waiting for us. When we saw Manami we ran towards eachother and hugged. It was so awesome. Then we went inside the building where we introduced ourselves and got aquainted with the families. Then we left. Manamis family took us shopping at a store. We went and got a ton of sticker pictures. When we came home we gave them our gifts and went to bed after we ate dinner.

The next morning we went to the schools. The school I was at was really old. It was really small too. I liked it though. During freetime we went out and played tennis. When playing tennis I tripped and sprained my ankle. It hurt really bad so they took me to the school nurse. They put some sticky adhesive cloth on my ankle and wrapped it up. Then I went outside and watched the students practice their games for tomorro's sports festival. My foot relly hurt so Mr. and Mrs. Edwards came and took me to the hospital. They took x-rays of my foot. My foot wasn't broken. It was just a really bad sprain. Then, after the hospital, we went to a barbeque. The barbeque was fun because there were a lot of students and friends there. It was good to see the other delegates. They also had drum music and good food. After the barbeque we went home and went to bed.

The next day we headed out to the nature institute. Before we went to the nature institute we stopped at a really neat temple and a science museum. I liked the science museum because we got to play with liquid nitrogen. and we saw a lot of interesting things. When we got to the nature institute we played golf and some other games. We also made key chains and bird calls. That evening we had freetime. I liked freetime because it gave me more time to meet the Japanese girls.

That morning we got dressed and cleaned up to get ready to leave. On our way home the bus dropped Jennifer and I off at the school for the sports festival. I liked the festival because it was like a huge track meet with some new events. After a little while Mr. Kato and Mrs. Edwards came and took me to the hospital. The doctor checked my foot and said it was all right because I could walk on it now. When I came back to the sports festival we ate lunch. It was like a picnic. Mr. Abe came and took me and Jennifer to a huge mall. We went shopping all over and bought all types of things. We also got some drinks at a resturaunt. That was one of my favorite days. Afterwards we went back home. We changed our clothes and got ready for the farewell dinner. The dinner was really sad especially when we had to say our goodbye speeches to everyone. I don't think I have ever had so many cameras on me at once. That evening Manami's family took us out bowling. That was fun even though I'm the worlds worst bowler.

The next morning we got dressed and left the house. We arrived at the place were we first were in Mutsu. All the delegates ang host families were there waiting for us. It was time to say goodbye. Most of the delegates were crying. We had hardly had enough time to hug and say goodbye before we were rushed off. It was the saddest part when the bus started to drive off and all we could do was look out the window. The rest of the day was mostly traveling. Our hotel was connected to a mall, so we went shopping. Then we all met and went to eat. That evening we went to Chelsea and All's room and partied. We went crazy that night. It was our last night in Japan.

The last day we went to the airport. We stood in line for a long time, but finally we got on the plane. We were in the air and off Japan grounds. The flight was long, but it had a good movie and it was fun sitting by friends. When I got off the plane I was really surprised because my mom was there to pick me up. I was glad to be home, but I still wished that I was in Japan.
